Joseph A. Steward , 38, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro Township, NJ. Born in Trenton, he lived in the Chesterfield, Yardville and Bordentown areas all of his life. He was a graduate of Northern Burlington Regional High School Class of 2000.

Joe was mechanically astute and was a self-employed HVAC contractor by trade.   He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church in Bordentown and the Bordentown Elks BPOE #2085. He was an accomplished pool player, captaining the Elks team and would frequently go to competitions held in Atlantic City.  Joe enjoyed fishing, boating and riding ATVs. He was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, especially his beloved Eagles. His family and friends were especially important to him and he never failed to lend a hand to someone in need of assistance.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 8 years, Dana Steward (Schimpf), who was at his side as he passed, his cherished daughters, Aubrey, Madison and Zoey Steward,  his mother and stepfather, Margaret Scully-Davis and Dallas (Wayne) Davis,  and his sister, Nichole Steward, all of Chesterfield Township, his brother, Robert Steward, and stepmother, Karen Steward,  both of Bordentown, his mother-in-law, Jennifer Schimpf, of Chesterfield, and his sister-in-laws, Jessica Schimpf and Alexandra King, of Reno, Nevada.  He is predeceased by his father, Andrew Steward, and father-in-law, Frank Schimpf, and we imagine they are out fishing together.

A memorial service will be held 7 pm Thursday, October 29 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, New Jersey. Friends may call on the family from 4 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Elks services will be held at 6:30 pm. Interment will be private.
