IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph T.
Savignano
April 25, 1929 – August 8, 2024
Joseph T. Savignano, 95, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War. After completing his service, he worked for many years as a court reporter in both Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Upon retirement he relocated to Bordentown, New Jersey to be closer to his family. An avid bowler, he enjoyed a good wine, playing blackjack at Parx casino or Atlantic City, and spending time with his faithful furry companion Piccolo. Halloween was his favorite holiday and took pride in his collection of decorations that he accumulated throughout the years.
Joseph liked to keep his mind active and well into his 90's he was learning French. He volunteered as an ESL tutor and loved to quiz his family and friends, especially on the state capitals– he knew them all. One of his biggest joys was watching his two grandchildren grow and flourish.
Predeceased by his wife, Margaret Savignano; he is survived by his children and their spouses, Adam and Sharon Savignano and Tara and Glenn Katz; he is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan.
A visitation with the family will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 from 3pm to 5pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. A service will begin at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
