Obituary

Joseph Odenheimer (75), of Monroe, NJ (formerly of Robbinsville), died in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, on September 10, 2023.

Joe spent his life working in the auto parts industry. Joe was the owner operator of Automotive Headquarters in Robbinsville for 27 years before managing other auto parts companies.  He proudly served as the Mayor of Washington Township (now Robbinsville) in 1994 and had been an active member of the Washington Township Recreation Committee, the Township Committee and Planning Board.  Joe was a co-founder of Washington Township Day (now known as Robbinsville Township Community Festival).  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Smith Gun Club where he loved spending time with his brother, Walsh.  In his retirement he became an avid fan of the Robbinsville High School Lacrosse teams where he was often the first one in the stands to cheer on his grandkids and the team.  Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than to see and hear from his grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Odenheimer and his wife, Karen Odenheimer.  He is survived by his children, Kelly (Eric) Odenheimer, Joseph (Aprile) Odenheimer, and Mark (Erica) Odenheimer; his grandchildren, Ripley, Ken, Abby, Alex, Madison, and Carter; his sisters, Susan (Glenn) Barnes, and Pam (Joe) Walsh; best friends who truly are family, Mike "Abe" and Anne Lemmo. Joe is also survived by his partner, Michele Tucker, who has been by his side for the last several years.

A viewing will be held Thursday, September 14th from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, September 15th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
