Joseph E. Marszalek, 52, of Seaside Heights, died Friday at his home. Born in Trenton, he had lived in the Trenton area before moving to Seaside 2 years ago. He was a 1972 graduate of Ewing High School, played and refereed soccer in the Ewing area and enjoyed flea markets.

Son of the late Edward L. Marszalek, Joseph is survived by his mother; Joyce L. DiMattia of Whiting, a brother; Bryan Marszalek and Colleen of Pilot, VA., 4 sisters; Nance McElmeel of Oak Ridge, TN., Brenda Townley of Wrightstown, NJ, Dianne Dion and Paul of Lanesborough, MA. And Janice Weaver and Rick of Toms River, NJ . 1 nephew and 7 nieces; Miles and Melissa Marszalek, Jamie and Amanda McElmeel, Rachel and Krista Townley and Kate and Vanessa Dion: and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated Wednesday, 11 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10am until the time of service. Interment of cremains will follow in St. Hedwigs Cemetery, Ewing Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Southern Regional Chapter, 1060 N. Kings Hwy., Suite 309, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034
