Joseph W. Ivins, Jr., 80, of Clarksburg, passed away Sunday at his home. Born in Millstone Twp. he was a lifetime resident of the area. A WWII Army veteran, Mr. Ivins owned and operated Ivins Disposal Service. He was a life member of the Millstone Fire Department, a life member of the Millstone Elks and a life member of the Crosspile Gun Club. Mr. Ivins enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter.
Son of the late Joseph and Mary Ivins and husband of the late Shirley A. Ivins; he is survived by his five children, Barbara Ivins of Freehold, Thomas Ivins and his wife Georgene of New Egypt; Alberta Ivins of Millstone, Joseph Ivins, III and Joanne Hopkins of Millstone and Timothy Ivins and his wife Kathy of Manalapan; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a sister.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 am, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main Street, Allentown. Interment will follow in Yellow Meeting House Cemetery.
