Obituary

John W. Tilton, 65 of Manchester Twp., passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Lawrenceville for 54 years before moving to Manchester, 2 years ago. A graduate of Lawrenceville High School, John earned his Associates Degree from Mercer County Community College and later attended Trenton State College. He retired from ABCO Printing where he worked as a graphic artist. He enjoyed playing golf and in his younger years, loved to swim, sail and scuba dive. This hobby led him to become a certified scuba diver and sailing captain. John was a friend to many and due to his a kind and generous heart, he never met a stranger.

Son of the late Thomas K. Tilton, he was predeceased by his nephew, Dylan Tilton and his great nephew, Dylan Tilton. John is survived by his loving fiancée, Suzanne Speer; his mother, Mary E. Tilton (nee Woodward); his brother and sister-in-law, Colin and Cynthia Tilton; his niece, Dorey Jarcy and her husband Kevin; his nephew, Colin Tilton; his great nephews and niece, Jake and Jack Jarcy and Zoey and Dylan Tilton and his daughter Brooke Foley and her husband, Kevin.

Funeral service will be held 11 am on Wednesday, March 23rd at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Suzanne Schafer-Coates will officiate. Interment will follow in Emley's Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8pm and again Wednesday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
