John R Ross, 73, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026 at home surrounded by his wife and family. A lifelong Bordentown resident, he retired from the State of New Jersey after 32 years. Among his many interests he enjoyed trips to Disney World, cruising, antique markets and concerts to see Smokey Robinson with his wife always by his side. He was rarely seen without wearing one of his many hats and loved striking up a conversation with anyone. He will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by his parents Albert and Edith Ross, his in-laws Robert and Corinne Campbell, he is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Kathleen Ross (Campbell), sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janice (Campbell) and Edward Fleming, special nieces Melissa Bunting, Jennifer and Tricia Fleming, and Brittani and her husband Alexander Brasowski, special cousins Paula and Mike Seward and Sandy and Bernard Luongo, and lifelong friend Charles Reeder.

A special thank you to his nurse and caregivers, Kelly, Lakeia and Antoinette from Greenwood Hospice. Their compassionate care was truly a blessing.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 14 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown Township, NJ. Friends may call on the family from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
