Obituary

John N. Mohl, 78 of Allentown, NJ, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2014 surrounded by his family at Arden Courts in Yardley, PA. Born in Trenton, he was a long time Allentown, NJ resident. John retired as head of engineering from General Motors in Trenton after 36 years of service. Following his retirement he established Modern Design Concepts and Associates, followed by John Mohl & Associates Consulting Group. A member of St. John's Church in Allentown for over 50 years, John was a 3 rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus #7333 and was a member of the parishes 50+ Club. John was active with scouting and served as a Cub Master for Pack 180 and was an assistant Scoutmaster for Allentown Troop 180. He enjoyed canoeing down the Delaware, sailing at Barnegat Bay and biking whenever he traveled. John also enjoyed gardening and working with his hands. He would often be found involved in designing and building one of his many projects.

Son of the late John G. and Mary Mohl, he was predeceased by his first wife, Betty Mohl. John is survived by his wife, Nancy Mohl; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Kathy Mohl, Brian and Lisa Mohl and Greg and Debbie Mohl; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Laurie and Eddie Potts and Maureen and Robert Abers; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be celebrated 11am on Wednesday, April 2 nd at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Road, Allentown. Inurnment will follow at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 or to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053. Arrangements under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
