Obituary

John J. Mikulas, 80, of Cream Ridge, NJ, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born on his family farm in Cream Ridge, he was a lifetime area resident. John attended Allentown High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korea Conflict. He worked as an electrician for many years, retiring from CentraState Medical Center. John was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Allentown, where he served as an usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus #7333. He was also was 55 year member of the American Legion Post 31, the Millstone Elks and many other local organizations.

Son of the late Stephen and Katherine Mikulas, he was predeceased by his sister, Katherine. John is survived by his four brothers and a sister-in-law, George, Anthony, Stephen and Edward Mikulas and his wife Eileen; a sister, Elizabeth Jacoby; nieces and nephews, Sonja Patterson, Carol Montgomery, Ronald Mikulas, Cathy Panik, Mary Sutphin, Ralph Mikulas, Joan Slawson and Joey Mikulas as well as 14 great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Tuesday, April 8 th at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Road, Allentown. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Hope Fire Company, PO Box 547, Allentown, NJ 08501 and American Legion Post 31, 1490 South Olden Ave., Trenton, NJ 08610.
