John H. McBride, 67, of Chesterfield, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Born in Queens, NY, he was a longtime Chesterfield resident. A graduate of Rutgers University, John worked at Prince Global Sports for over 35 years and currently worked for OKI Data Americas, Inc. He was very involved in the community, a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 28 years; serving as Cub Scout Den Leader, Assistant Scout Master and then a committeeman for Crosswicks Boy Scout Troop 55. He was a member of the Bordentown Elks for 26 years and worked many years at the Crosswicks United Methodist Church Roast Beef Dinner. John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, tennis and cycling. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Son of the late Frank and Marian McBride, he was predeceased by his nephew, Frank McBride IV. John is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna McBride; his daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Scott Bice; his son, John P. McBride; his granddaughter, Theresa Bice and was expecting his second granddaughter in March; his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Joanne McBride; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Robert Robertson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Sunday, January 28th from 5-7pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown and again Monday, January 29th from 10-11am at the Crosswicks United Methodist Church, Ward Ave. and Church St., in Crosswicks. The funeral service will begin at 11am at the church. Interment will follow in the Crosswicks Methodist Cemetery.
