John J. Mauger, 94, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2023 in Cape May, NJ. Born and raised in Dover, NJ, he graduated from Dover High School in 1946 and had a long career at Picatinny Arsenal as a civilian employee in the personnel department of the Department of the Army. John loved to play the trumpet in a band at ballroom dances and was an avid stamp and coin collector.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; his son, Stephen and wife Karen; his sister, Marie Harr of Naples, FL; two grandsons and six great grandchildren. He will be remembered as a kind and generous soul, ever devoted to his wife of 74 years.
