John R. Harker Sr., 74, passed away peacefully at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly on Friday, March 23rd, 2012. Born in Chesterfield where he resided for over 43 years. A graduate of MacFarland High School, John was a custodian for Northern Burlington High School and a driver for Mercer Sod Corporation. He was a member of the Chesterfield Baptist Church, and also an avid New York Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Son of the late Mildred Harker; John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Claramay Harker (Pullen); his daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Charles Harker-Webster of Walton, KY; his son, John Harker Jr. of Chesterfield; a step sister, Dorothy Reed of Chesterfield; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Grace; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 12p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at the Chesterfield Baptist Church, 209 Matthews Lane, Chesterfield. Interment will follow at the Bordentown Cemetery located in Bordentown Township. Friends and family may call from 10am until time of service at the church.
