John H. Eleuteri ""Hawk"", 77, of Bordentown, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his daughter's home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime Bordentown resident. Hawk retired from the NJ Turnpike Authority and Thiokol Chemical Corp. He was an active member of St. Mary's Church in Bordentown and was a member of the Bordentown Elks and the Bordentown Twp., Senior Citizens. Hawk enjoyed working in the yard, going to the casinos and his daily breakfast club with all of his lifelong friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was truly loved by all that knew him.
Son of the late Harry J. ""Booty"" and Agnes Eleuteri; he was predeceased by his wife, Rita Gail Matthews-Eleuteri; his daughter, Maureen Susan Eleuteri; his sister, Joan A. Eleuteri; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, R. Stanton and Florence Matthews and a brother-in-law, Shawn Matthews. He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Ryan and Mary Eleuteri; his grandchildren, Danielle, Richard, Rebecca, Shannon and Jonathon; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Brayden as well as a very large extended family and many dear friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, January 25th at St. Mary's Church, Bordentown. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday from 6-9pm and again Friday from 9-10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bordentown Food Pantry, C/O St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505.
