John T. Derasmo, 71, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at University Medical Center of Princeton. Born in the Bronx, he was a longtime resident of Bay Shore, NY prior to moving to Hamilton. A US Navy veteran, John retired from Chase Manhattan Bank where he worked for 43 years. He was a member of St. John's R.C. Church in Allentown and its 50+ Club. John enjoyed golf, fishing, playing on his iPad and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Li Derasmo; his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Maria Derasmo and his grandchildren, Susan and John Derasmo, all of Cream Ridge. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Derasmo of East Rockaway, NY; his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Greg Peck of Travelers Rest, SC as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am on Saturday, November 1st at St. John's R.C. Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, October 30th from 2-4 pm and again from 7-9 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
