John C. Curtin, 81, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Capital Health Hospital after a long and courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. Born in Brosna, Ireland, he emigrated to New Jersey and owned and operated Tri-County Forklift.
He retired after four decades of dedicated work, and spent his time with family, traveling often back home to Ireland and sailing on cruises, and trips to stock car races. He always enjoyed being near the water and spending time with family and friends.
Son of the late Cornelius and Hannah Curtin, (Glencarney, Rockchapel), John was predeceased by his wife Barbara A. Curtin and sister Teresa Buckley. He is survived and will be missed by his daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Bill Donnelly of Hamilton; his loving partner, Joanne Beagan of Tinton Falls and her children and their families; Michael and Charlene Beagan, Jodi and Dan Whalen, Debbie and Kevin Carcich, and Patti and Iggy Torres, John also leaves behind sister-in-law, Georgene Byrum; brother and sister-in-law, James and Kathleen Curtin; sister and brother-in-law, Julia Mary and Gerard Murphy and brother-in-law, Paddy Buckley and their families.
Cremation will be private under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown. Never wanting to be center of attention, there will be no services or celebration of life. He will be brought home to Ireland in the spring. If you are able, have a pint of Guinness, or better yet a Murphy's, and toast to his spirit and fun nature.
