John Cannady, 66, of Yardville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ prior to moving to Yardville over 25 years ago. John was a ""relocation technician"" who drove a tractor trailer for Pathmark for 30 years. He enjoyed trips to Florida, model trains, the Neighborhood Card Club and most of all spending time with his family. John was beloved by family and friends for his outgoing personality and great sense of humor.
Son of the late Salvatore and Marguerite Cannady, he is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Angelina F. Cannady (nee Sorrentino); his three children, John and Samuel Cannady both of Yardville and Maria Cannady and her long time boyfriend Anton Lueker of Bordentown Township; his brother, Michael Cannady and his wife Nora of Elizabeth as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday, May 29 th at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Rd, Yardville, NJ. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville. Friends may call Tuesday evening 6 to 9 pm and again Wednesday morning 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St, Allentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association of NJ, 1031 Route 22 West Suite 203 Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
