John A. Bown, age 62, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Nova Scotia, he had spent over 20 years training horses in Saratoga, NY, before moving to the Allentown area, where he continued his work as a trainer. John was a member of the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of NJ and the US Trotting Association and enjoyed spending his time with friends and family.

Son of the late Cosmos and Margaret Campbell, he is survived by his wife, Nancy for over 25 years; two daughters, Jessica and Maja Bown of Allentown; six Brothers, five sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 2700 Patriot Blvd., Suite 100, Glenview, IL 60026-80-21. Arrangements under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
