Obituary

Jody S. Gleason, 57, of Cream Ridge, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at his home.  Born in Kittery, Maine, he lived in Chincoteague, VA for many years and later returned to Cream Ridge.  Jody retired from General Motors and was employed for several years at DeLeval. He spent many years working construction and also worked on a fishing boat in Hawaii.  Jody was a wonderful artist who could draw anything and was very talented at woodworking.  He loved animals, especially his dogs and cat and enjoyed searching for Native American Relics, some of which are displayed in Trenton Museums.  Jody had many friends and will be missed by all.

Son of the late Edward Gleason, Jody was predeceased by his brothers, Jamie and Jon Gleason and an aunt, Shirlee Shaudys. Jody is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Michael Hatala and a devoted companion Deborah Walter, all of Cream Ridge; an aunt and uncle, Dee and Laddie Srahola of Hamilton and cousins, Pam Shaudys, Michelle Post, Hank Shaudys, Paige Morales, Deanna Wood, Tara Haney and Billy Eubanks.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Wednesday, May 23 rd at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Pastor Aaron Richter of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, Trenton, will officiate. Cremation will be private.  Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8pm and again Wednesday from 10-11am at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 833 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ 08755.
