Joann Whittaker, 79, of Chesterfield Twp., passed away Friday July 18th at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Born in Ansted, WV, Joann was a graduate of Trenton Central High School. She retired from McGraw Hill after 27 years of employment and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Yardville.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Ruth Schroeder of Chesterfield; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Stanley Gucwa of Thornhurst, PA; two grandsons, Mark and Jonse Schroeder; two granddaughters, Kara and Katlyn Petyo and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Tuesday 10am until the time of service at the funeral home.
