Joan M. Sculthorpe, 76, of Cream Ridge, passed away Friday at The Manor in Freehold. Born in Cream Ridge, she was a lifetime resident of the area. A retired postal worker, Mrs. Sculthorpe was a member of the Sphinx Chapter #130 Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of Emley's Hill Methodist Church. She loved to cook and bake, especially pies and enjoyed bird watching.
Daughter of the late Charles and Mary Klink, she was predecease by seven siblings. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tylee Sculthorpe; her daughter, Linda Barry of Jackson; three sons, Tylee Sculthorpe, Jr. of Cream Ridge, Kenneth Sculthorpe of Toms River and Ronald Sculthorpe of Burlington Co.; three sisters-in-law, Marietta Moffler of Lincroft, Ruby Klink of Cream Ridge and Anna Klink of Cream Ridge as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Merton Steelman will officiate. Interment will follow in Emley's Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St. Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.
