Joan M. LaMalva, 77, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice with her family by her side. Born and raised in Trenton she was a graduate of the Villa Victoria Academy, Georgetown University and received her nursing degree at Rutgers University. She was a RN, BSN and had worked at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. Joan was a member of St. Mary's Church of Bordentown and a past member of the Diocesan Choir of Trenton.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Victoria and George Featherstone of Miami, FL, her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Amelita LaMalva of Jackson Heights, NY, her granddaughter Grace LaMalva, her sister, Bonnie Lynch and her husband Tom of Crosswicks and many nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 12 noon on Monday, July 29 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown. Interment will follow in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Hamilton Township. Family and friends may visit with the family Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 pm and again Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown.
