Jo Ann E. Smith, 85, of Cream Ridge, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly. Born in Trenton, Jo Ann resided in Ellisdale for 14 years before moving to New Egypt where she lived for 32 years. A school bus driver for the East Windsor School District, Jo Ann also worked for several years at Mr. Milk in Allentown and Marge's Deli in Cream Ridge. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in East Windsor and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Daughter of the late Oscar and Wilma Carroll, she was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Joel P. Smith. Jo Ann is survived by her children, Timothy and Rose Smith of Fairless Hills, PA, David and Bonnie Smith of Browns Mills, Patricia and Herman Miller of Cream Ridge, Joel and Tina Smith of Apple Valley, CA, Jeffrey and Jo Ann Smith of Florence, Amy and Art Petrenko of New Egypt, Don and Lisa Smith of Hightstown and Michael Rein of Lambertville; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Monday, May 6 ^th from 7-9 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jo Ann's name to Ocean of Love, 1709 New Jersey Ave 37, Toms River, NJ 08753.
