Obituary

Jeanne Elyse Rockhill Youngs, 89, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Medford Leas in Medford, NJ. She was preceded in death by husband, William James Youngs; parents, Frederick and Marion Rockhill; daughter Susan Willmarth Gallino; sisters Doris and Eunice; and brother Robert Kent Rockhill. She is survived by daughters Pamela Rockhill Youngs-Runyon of Columbus, Maralee Townsend Youngs of New York City, and Deborah Jeanne Youngs of Chesterfield; brother Frederick ""Bud"" Rockhill and wife, Alice, of Jensen Beach, FL; sister Anne Rockhill Stevenson and husband, Maurie, of Springfield Twp.; son-in-law Samuel James Gallino of Columbus; grandchildren, Tracey Kleinschmidt and husband, Brian, Nancy Andrews and husband, Jim, Ted Runyon, and Jeanne Runyon; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Maddison, and James.

Born in New Egypt, Jeanne grew up in Bordentown and resided in Chesterfield and in Sewall's Point, FL, before moving to Medford Leas 13 years ago. She, along with her sister and sister-in-law, owned and operated Yesterday's Treasures antiques shop in Mt. Holly. She was a founding member of the Chesterfield Township Historical Society and a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, being active in the NJ and FL chapters. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown for over 70 years, as well as the First United Methodist Church of Stuart, FL; and an avid supporter of her daughters' alma mater, St. Mary's Hall. Jeanne was a woman who enjoyed writing, researching family genealogy, exploring nature, and traveling, but foremost in her heart was family.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jeanne's life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, NJ Chapter, State Headquarters, 555 Route 1 South, Suite 320, Iselin, NJ 08830. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
