Jean "Tubby" Wood, 59, of Trenton, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Capital Health Systems, Fuld, with her family by her side. Born in Neptune, she was a longtime resident of Clarksburg before moving to Trenton. A graduate of Allentown High School, Jean worked at Coca-Cola Foods in Hightstown and later for Johanna Foods in Flemington. Jean loved to dance, spend time with her family and host Sunday dinners.
Daughter of the late Johnnie and Catherine Troutman, she was predeceased by her twin sister, Janice and her brother James. She is survived by her husband Richard Young Sr.; her children, Richard and Tanika Young, Tamika Young and her fiancé Morris Cullers and Damon Weakley; six grandchildren, DaVonte, Kevon, Dahmya, Darius, Marquan and Kayden; her siblings and their spouses, Betty "Diane" McPhee, Johnnie and Norma Troutman, Eugene and Karen Troutman, JoAnn Troutman, Joyce Troutman, Daniel "Duke" and Chrissi Peyton, Althea Troutman, Sylvia Troutman and Nicole and James Smith as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held on Monday, September 14th at the Union AME Church, 72 Church St., Allentown. Visitation from 9 to 11am and the Funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
