Jean "Jeannie" M. Johnson, 78, of Toms River, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Staten Island for many years before moving to Bordentown, then finally settling in Toms River. One of 11 children, Jean was proud of her Scottish heritage. She was devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Sneddon, Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Monahan and her siblings, David Sneddon, John Sneddon, Catherine McGowan, and Edward Sneddon. She is survived by her loving husband, George Johnson; her daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Jason Hawkins, Debbie and Jimmy Romeo, Michele and Keith Long, Kerri and Francis Legaspi, and John Monahan. She also leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren - Scott, Lauren, Brian, Christopher, Joseph, Casey, Megan, Dylan, Juliette, and Elizabeth - whom she adored, as well as her sisters and brothers - Mary Hall, Marion DeRubbio, and Hugh, James, George, and Robert Sneddon, many sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 17th from 1-4pm with a service to begin at 4pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
