Jean R. Ferguson, 77, of Monroe Twp., passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Penn Medical Center in Princeton. Born in Orange, NJ, she was raised in West Orange and attended West Orange High School. She later moved to Hillsborough and worked for Van Cleef Engineering for many years before retiring to Monroe Twp.

Jean loved animals and enjoyed her after retirement job as a pet sitter. She was an extremely talented singer and was a member of the Liberty Oak chapter (and previously Millstone Valley and Watchung View Chapters), of Sweet Adelines. She has traveled nationally and internationally with her Sweet Adelines family over the past forty-one years, and singing has always been a huge part of her life. She also, more recently, added her voice to the Clearbrook Singers in her community. She was passionate about sports and was an avid sports mom and grandmother. Above all, Jean was devoted to her family and was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Daughter of the late Paul E. and Muriel A. Revere, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Tim McLaughlin of Allentown; her son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Karolyn Utheim of Monroe Twp.; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler Paul and Kassidy Paige Utheim and Kaileigh Shea and Mackenna Rae McLaughlin; her brother and sister-in-law, William P. and Judith of Spring Hill, FL; her nephew, Scott Revere and his wife Stacy and their family and niece, Beth Revere Dayton and her husband Roger and their son; her dear cousin, G. Gordon McCormack and his wife Marie McCormack and their sons, as well as a large extended family including the Reveres, Mackenzies and McCormacks and countless dear friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday, December 27 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9pm and again Friday, December 28 ^th from 9-10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Funeral Service will be held Friday at 10am at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
