Jean M. Atkinson, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Bordentown most of her life. Jean was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, was a Democratic Committee woman and was a member of the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens. She enjoyed bowling at Hamilton Lanes, camping and crafting and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents, Frederick Buckalew and Mae Mitala Buckalew, her beloved husband of 47 years, Charles Atkinson, her daughter, Jill Atkinson, great granddaughter, Amber Martini and her sister, Mildred Schenck, she is survived by her daughters: Carol and Linda Atkinson both of Bordentown, Robin Major and her husband Edward of Delanco and Sherri Sheehan and her husband Kevin also of Bordentown. Her grandchildren: John Braun and his wife Lina, Adam Braun, Ryan and Shelby Martini, Trent Major, Tyler and Bailey Sheehan and great granddaughters: Lily Rose and Kylie P. Martini.

Services will be 12 noon Thursday, March 30 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
