Obituary

Janet Lannon went into the arms of her loving Father on Monday July 30th after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She passed away at home with her family at her side. She led a meaningful and vivacious life. She was born Janet May Seidel on January 9, 1934 to Charles and Bessie Mae Seidel, as the oldest of six children.

Upon graduating from high school, Janet worked as a secretary for Prudential Insurance. She attended Syracuse University where she studied accounting. She was further educated at Rider University and took many courses with the Internal Revenue Service, achieving the status of enrolled agent, licensed to practice before the IRS. She was in the practice of tax preparation for 41 years, and owned her own business for the last twenty of those years. She pursued another passion in her life, achieving a degree in practical nursing from Syracuse University. While raising her children, she worked part-time in the fields of taxation and nursing. Her hobbies included music, gardening, cooking, traveling and helping others. Her family, friends, and clients adored her. The most important goal in her life was to serve the Lord and spread his love to others. Her faith was her anchor as she faced life's struggles.

She is survived by: her brother Henry and sister-in-law Marrilee of Syracuse, NY. Janet leaves behind a legacy of six children: Dr. Lori Lindstrom of Shawnee, Kan.; George Greenwell of Buffalo, N.Y.; Christopher Peck and wife Gail from Trumansburg, N.Y.; Janet and husband Jim from Apex, N.C.; John Peck and wife Susann of Glen Ridge, N.J.; and Jennifer Nolte and husband Thomas of Lawrenceville, N.J.
