Obituary

Jane Hall Probasco, 93, of Monroe Township, NJ died on Monday, March 21, 2011 after a short illness. Jane was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Hightstown where she graduated from Hightstown High School in 1934. Jane moved to Chesterfield, NJ with her husband John and their six children in 1947. In 1997 after the death of her husband, Jane moved to Summerland Key, Florida. She returned to NJ in 2004 and took up residence at Monroe Village.

Jane was predeceased by her husband, John Taylor Probasco and their daughter Janice Griffiths of Fallbrook, CA. She is survived by her five children and their families: Constance and Dorrance Wedell of Hover, AL., Gail and Robert McKay of DU Bois, PA., Susan and Edwin Olsen of St. Augustine, FL., Christopher and Judith Probasco of Chesterfield, NJ and Peter and Diana Probasco of Ocean City, NJ. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

During WWII, Jane taught First Aid. Jane and John loved to travel and did so after John retired from Farming. Jane enjoyed cooking, entertaining and was an avid bridge player. Later in life, she taught water exercise in the Florida Keys.

A private graveside service will be held on May 4 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hightstown, NJ. Father Robert McKay, her son-in-law, will perform the Episcopal Service. Jane's family would like to thank Princeton Hospice at 208 Bunn Drive, Princeton, NJ 08540 for their compassionate care in Jane's last week. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ.
