James Wood, 50 of Lakehurst, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013.  Born in Trenton, he was a 1981 graduate of Steinert High School and a former resident of Groveville.  He worked as a welder for NJ Iron and enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.   Jim was an avid outdoorsman; he loved nature and the outdoors and would often refer to it as his church.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Mom-mom and Pop-pop Wood and Mom-mom Jones, he is survived by his daughter, Carly Wood and his wife, Suzy Wood both of Robbinsville; his mother Shirley Loggie and her husband Wally of Whiting; his father Thomas Wood and his wife Gen of Malta; his brothers, Thomas L. Wood III of New Egypt, Barry Wood and his fiancée Michelle of Robbinsville and Danny Wood and his fiancée Melissa of Lakehurst; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Barry, Brian and Dylan Wood; his beloved dog, Skye as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be held 1pm on Wednesday, March 13 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will follow in Emley's Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carly Wood Education Fund, C/O Richard Sklar, PO Box 131, Adelphia, NJ 07710.
