James Foster Tucker, age 85, of Burlington, passed away Friday at the Masonic Home of New Jersey, Burlington. Born in Dennison, OH, he was a resident of Allentown for 20 years before moving to Leisuretown in 1976 and then Burlington in 1998. Mr. Tucker retired as a mail carrier from the Allentown Post Office. A WWII veteran serving as a Navy Blimp Pilot, Mr. Tucker was a member of the Fleet Reserve and the Retired Navy Officers Association.
Husband of the late Helen N. Tucker, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey T. Tucker of Washington Crossing, PA and James Michael Tucker of Ewing; two brothers, Jack and Michael Murray; a sister Mauviene Ward and five grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held Friday 10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Tucker's name to the Spinal Cord Society, 19051 County Highway 1, Fergus Falls, MN 56537-7609 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
