Obituary

James A. Niwore, 77, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime Allentown area resident. Retiring from the military in 1991, he was Chief Master Sergeant for the 108th Air National Guard, serving as First Sergeant for the Maintenance Group. James also served as special police for the Trenton Board of Education and was a member of St. John's Church in Allentown.

Son of the late James and Elizabeth Niwore, he was predeceased by his brother, Anthony James Niwore. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lillian Niwore; his children, Shirley Popp and her husband Richard of Hamilton, James Brooks of Bordentown and Regina Brooks of Hamilton; his sister-in-law, Catherine Niwore of Robbinsville; five grandchildren, Richard Popp Jr and his wife Courtney., Danielle Popp, Michael Brooks, Justine Brooks and Phillip R. Episcopo, Jr; five great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9pm and again Wednesday morning from 9-10am at the funeral home.
