Obituary

James J. Maione, 57, of Yardville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 30, 2009, with his family and friends by his side. Born in Trenton, he lived in Bordentown prior to moving toYardville 7 years ago. He was a graduate of Bordentown Regional High School and retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation.

James enjoyed road and mountain biking and was involved with the Trail Maintenance Group of Mercer Park. He had a passion for motorcycling and was a car and truck enthusiast. He loved music and playing his many guitars. He had a soft spot for animals, especially his cats.

Son of the late James L and Ann M. Maione (nee Patrizi) and brother of the late Joseph Maione, he is survived by his wife Donna L. Maione (nee Dormaier); a son, Christopher Smith of Absecon and his fiancé Michelle Ruggiero; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Christopher Tao of Germantown, Maryland.; two grandchildren, Nathanael and Alana Tao; an aunt, Virginia Flick of Cherry Hill and an uncle, Albert Maione of Ewing and many cousins.

Funeral Services will be 12 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2009, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Br. John Baptist, OSF will officiate. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, in Hamilton Township. Br. John Baptist, OSF will officiate. Friends may call from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Associated Humane Society Inc., Popcorn Park Zoo, Humane Way, PO Box 43, Forked River, NJ, 08731 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101.
