James A. Bohonyi Sr, 80, of Cream Ridge, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his home.  Born in Trenton, he was a longtime area resident.  A US National Guard Veteran, Jimmy retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation and was a 50+ year member of Mercer 50 F.&A.M.  Jimmy's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He also loved to be outside whether it be hunting or working.  Lovingly known as Jimmy, Dad, Pop-Pop, Poppy, Big Jim, and Chief, Jimmy will be greatly missed.

Son of the late Julia and George Bohonyi; he was predeceased by his brother, George Bohonyi and his niece, Patty Bohonyi.  Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judith M. Bohonyi; his children, Julianne and John Kenney; Jennifer and Brian Greco and James Bohonyi and his fiancée, Alie Peary; his grandchildren, John, Christopher and Daniel Kenney, Joseph, Ryan and Thomas Greco, Alex, Elianna, Jack, Nathan and Calvin Bohonyi as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, July 27 ^th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call Monday from 8:30am – 10:30am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ.  Memorial Contributions may be made in Jimmy's name to the charity of your choice.
