Jacob Garey Sr., 82, passed away, Monday, April 18, 2011, peacefully at home with his loving son and daughter-in-law by his side.  Jacob was a lifelong resident of Trenton until moving to Roebling 5 years ago.  He was a peace time Navy Veteran and was also a member of the Carpenters Local Union # 1489 and Wood, Wire and Lathers Union.

Son of the late Harry and Clara Garey, husband of the late Charlotte Garey and father of the late Scott Garey, Jacob is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jacob Garey Jr. of New Mexico, and Kirk and Angela Garey of Roebling; two daughters, Tina Motter of New Mexico and Vida Hulse of Trenton; a brother, Marvin Garey of Trenton; a sister, Sara ""Sis"" Underhill, of Trenton; several nieces and nephews; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A Memorial Celebration of Jacob's life will be held Thursday, April 21st from 12 to 2pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery , North Hanover Twp.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jacob's memory to Alzheimer's Association online at http://www.alz.org
