John Wayne Jennings, 74, of Chance, MD passed away on Friday, December 7.  He was born on December 19, 1943 in Sicklerville, NJ.  He was the son of the late Jacob Mark and Ethel Jennings.

Wayne graduated from Edgewood Regional High School in Tansboro, NJ in 1961 and Camden County Vocational and Technical school in 1963 for electronics.  He worked in electronics at RCA Astro Electronics and Princeton Gamma Tech (PGT) for over 40 years.  From 1966 to 1968 he served in the US Army including a tour in Vietnam.  Throughout his life he enjoyed gardening and sharing vegetables with his friends and neighbors.  In 2006, Wayne retired and moved to Chance, MD with his wife Barbara in 2009.  He and Barbara have been active in the Rock Creek United Methodist Church since that time.

He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 51 years, as well as his son Mark and wife Cathy, his daughter Patricia O'Neill and husband Brandon, and two grandchildren Robin and Cressy O'Neill.  He is also survived by his brothers Harold, William and Calvin and sisters-in-law Shirley and Darlene Jennings.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm on Friday, December 14 ^th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main Street, Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow at the BG Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.  Friends may call from 12pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children. A memorial service will be held in January at the Rock Creek United Methodist Church in Chance, MD.
