Obituary

Irene Dempster, age 84, of Annandale, NJ passed away Saturday at her home. Born in Pennsylvania, she resided in Hamilton for many years before recently moving to Annandale. Mrs. Dempster retired as a bookkeeper from Imagine in Hightstown. She was a member of the Hungarian Reform Church in Trenton and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 148 of Hightstown. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time at her home in Ship Bottom.

Daughter of the late Matyas and Ester Horvath and wife of the late Melvin V. Dempster, she was predecease by a brother and four sisters, Eugene, Bertha, Rose, Helen and Elsie. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Leingang of Annandale and Margi Dempster and her fiancé, Mark Inman of Bordentown; her caregiver and friend, Anna and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 10:30am Thursday at the Hungarian Reform Church, Trenton. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Wednesday 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
