Irene Beckley, 97, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family and caregiver. Born in Chicago, IL to the late Casimer and Catherine Dressel, she and her two sisters and brother grew up in Chicago. Irene was a graduate of Carl Schurz High School in Chicago. Irene did not attend college because she wanted to help with the war effort. She moved to New Jersey after she married her husband, William Beckley whom she adored. She resided in Concordia in Monroe Twp. for 40 years prior to moving to Allentown. A homemaker who took great care of her family, Irene worked as an accounts Receivable Clerk office for Roche Biomedical Labs in Raritan, NJ. She was a longtime member of St. James the Less in Jamesburg. Irene loved baking, decorating cakes, and making perogies (the Polish way). Her Angel Food cake with marshmallow frosting was heavenly. Irene traveled to Bermuda, Hawaii, Europe, Disney many times and enjoyed several Caribbean cruises.

Irene was predeceased by her husband, William Robert Beckley with family who remains in the Bay City, MI area. She is survived by her five daughters and their spouses, Lynn and Lindsay Barletta, Nancy and Bob Sicilia, Jan and Bill Blanford, Pat and Dante Pillon, and Kathrine Gross; her grandchildren, Holly and Michael Barletta, William and Alex Sicilia, Phillip, Chris, and Andrew Corio, and Dante III, Matthew, and Nick Pillon; as well as four great grandchildren.

Irene led an amazing life. Irene is admired, kind, patient and generous. She was referred to as the "true" energizer Bunny at her 90 ^th birthday. Irene made a huge impact on everyone's lives in her family. Her family and grandchildren would not be the strong people they are today without her guidance. She was always very proud of her grandsons and her granddaughter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, April 3 ^rd at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
