Ian Michael Kukfa, 19, of Chincoteague, VA, passed away on August 27, 2025, from complications of a rare genetic disorder, Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (V-EDS).
Born in Toms River, NJ in 2006, Ian was the beloved son of Ken and Kara Kukfa and the cherished brother of Sarah and Robert Kukfa.
He is survived by a loving extended family, including his grandmother, Phyllis Logan (Barnegat, NJ); aunts and uncles Patty and Pete Ciszek (Hamilton, NJ), Dorothy Pavloff (Portola Valley, CA), Jay and Karen Logan (Metuchen, NJ), Judi Irving (Staten Island, NY), and Michael and Terry Irving (Metuchen, NJ). He was also a devoted cousin to Danny and Katie Ciszek; Caroline and Katherine Pavloff; Evie, Declan, and Felicity Logan; and Ashton and Olivia Irving.
Ian's courage and selflessness were evident in his final wish: he chose to donate his body to medical research, hoping that his journey might ease the suffering of others.
