Howard B. Steelman, Jr., 85 of Allentown, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home.  Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Allentown resident.  A US Navy veteran serving in WWII, Howard retired from Vahlsing Inc. and worked as a Charter Boat Captain in Barnegat Light for several years.  He enjoyed motorcycling, often taking trips with his wife up and down the East Coast.

Son of the late Howard B. and Elvira Steelman, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise Johnson Steelman and his son, Raymond Steelman as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon on Monday, February 25 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  The Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate.  Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery.  Friends may call 11am until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allentown First Aid Squad, P.O.
