Howard I. Peters, Jr., 94 of Allentown, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Trenton, he was a long time Allentown area resident. A WWII Navy Veteran, Howard retired from the NJ State Police in 1991 as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Sirius Lodge # 5 F&AM in Pennington, the American Legion, the Allentown First Aid Squad, the Garden State Model Boat Club and the Allentown Presbyterian Church.

Howard loved the water and was a licensed boat captain and captained fishing boats, tugboats and large yachts.

Son of the late Ethlyn and Howard I. Peters Sr., he was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Bernice Robb Peters; his son, Robert Peters; his twin sister Roberta Pancost and his brother, Donald Peters. Howard is survived by his children and their spouses, Linda and Jimmy Smith of Millstone Twp., David and Karen Peters of Wrightstown, Thomas and Cheryl Peters of Imlaystown and Todd and Kay Peters of Oklahoma; his daughter-in-law, Judy Peters; special cousin, Joan Hopson as well as 6 grandchildren,6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 9am on Friday, December 4 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
