Horace Everett Baird, age 86 of Allentown, passed away Thursday at his home. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he was a resident of the Allentown area for over 55 years. Mr. Baird was an area farmer for many years and was previously employed as an engineer for Joseph Stokes Rubber Company, Stokes Molded Products and Electric Storage and Battery Company of Pennsylvania.

Son of the late David L and Alda Ryner Baird, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Garetta Henley Baird; eight nieces and nephews, David Baird of Fallbrook, CA, Virginia Havens of Millstone Twp., Dr. Robert Baird of Lancaster, PA, Nancy Day of Clarksburg, Patricia O'Connor of OH, Jean Principato of Robbinsville, Edward Henley of Durham, NC and Richard Henley of Livingston, TX; several great nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many caring friends and neighbors.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-9pm, and Tuesday 10-11am at the funeral home.
