Herbert W. Borgstrom Jr., 80, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt Holly Township. Born and raised in Bordentown, he had resided in Crosswicks for the last 53 years. Herb worked at Bordentown Military Institute from 1957 to 1972. He was a retired carpenter from the Local Union #1489 of Burlington County and was a member of the navy reserves for 8 years. He was a volunteer fireman for the Hope Hose Fire Company of Bordentown, and the Union Fire Company No. 1 of Crosswicks. Herb was a member of the Bordentown and Crosswicks United Methodist Church, was a member of the Bordentown Lodge #2085 BPOE, was a Boy Scout Leader and 50-year member and Past Master of the Mt. Moriah Lodge #28 F&AM of Bordentown.

Predeceased by his parents, Herbert W. and Ethel Mae Borgstrom, he is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Margaret E. Borgstrom (Murphy), five children: Dennis Borgstrom and his wife Cindy of Burlington Township, Denise Lynn Kelly and her husband Robert of Chesterfield, Dr. David Borgstrom and his wife Donna of Cooperstown, NY, Douglas Borgstrom and his wife Diane of Columbus and Drew S. Borgstrom of Crosswicks, two brothers: Robert and Claudia Borgstrom and Greg and Terry Borgstrom both of Bordentown, a sister: Karen Borgstrom and her partner Michelle Fisher of Columbus, and 10 grandchildren: Sarah, Sean, Amy, Samantha, Catherine, Nicholas and Taylor Borgstrom, Patrick and his wife Patricia, Meghan and Ryan Kelly and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, April 7 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, with Rev. Edward Conway officiating. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 9 pm and again on Tuesday morning 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be at 8pm Monday evening. Interment will be in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
