Helen B. Vandegrift (Fesko) 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Morris Hall, with her loving family by her side. Born in Trenton, Helen resided in Hamilton Township for most of her life. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School West and retired as a supervisor of data processing with the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor after 29 years of service. She was a devoted employee who loved her job and derived much satisfaction from it. Helen was a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Trenton until its closing in 2005; she was also a member of the St. Francis Women's Guild. Helen was an avid reader who enjoyed doing crosswords, travelling, attending shows and concerts, listening to music and walking her pets. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and friends.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved mother, Anna M. Fesko (Sieber), her loving husband, Harold S. Vandegrift Sr., and her special aunt, Mary T. Kelley. Helen is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Lido Panfili and Carol and Reverend Thomas Miller; her son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Karyn Vandegrift; six grandchildren, Lido D. Panfili and his wife Lorraine, Joseph Panfili and his wife Paula, Jordan Miller and his wife Alissa, Miranda Lodato and her husband Mark, Christopher Panfili and Bryan Vandegrift; six great-grandchildren, Daniel, Samantha and Isabella Panfili and Aidan, Katya and Joshua Miller; a special cousin, Alice Boyle, and many more close and dear relatives and friends. Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon, Tuesday, December 17 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, located in Morris Hall, 1 Bishops Drive, Lawrenceville, NJ. Interment of cremains will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton Township, NJ. Family and friends are invited to gather in the chapel to remember and celebrate Helen's life on Tuesday morning from 11 am until the time of the Mass.
