H. Patricia ""Pat"" Steward, 80, of Washington Crossing, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. Born in Trenton, she lived in Washington Crossing most of her life. A graduate of Rider College, Pat was a founding member of the Mercer Co. Chapter of Medical Assistants and served as vice president and president of the NJ Chapter. She was active in the Bucks Co. Chapter of the American Lung Association where she served two terms as president. Pat also developed and ran AAA Secretarial Services in Princeton.
Daughter of the late Norman and Helen Steward, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, whom she loved like a brother, Eugene A. Elgrim Sr. Pat is survived by her sister Norma M. Elgrim of Columbus, NJ; her nieces and nephews, Donna and John Kamer of Columbus, Eugene ""Drew"" and Jennifer Elgrim of Allentown, and Terri and Hodges Bacon of Allentown; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; her close friends, Barbara Sorgento and Barbara and Richard Pratt as well as her devoted caregiver, Nancy Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 12pm on Monday, February 11 th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Pastor George Zigich will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Friends may call from 11am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preservation, PO Box 685, 1635 River Rd, New Hope, PA 18938 or to SAVE Animal Rescue, 900 Herrontown Rd., Princeton, NJ 08540.
