Helen M. Johnson, 88, of Allentown, died peacefully, Sunday December 9, 2007 at Arcadia Rehab and Nursing Facility, Hamilton. Born in Trenton, Helen was a resident of Allentown for 70 years. A charter member of the Hope Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Helen operated ""Base 2"" for the Hope Fire Company #1 for over 20 years. She was a past member of the Allentown First Aid Squad and a member of the Allentown First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary.
Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Frederick, her daughter and son-in-law, Cecilia Ann and George Taylor and her granddaughter, June Ann Fenton. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Helen Frances & Allen Taylor of Allentown and Mary Dancer and her partner, Henry Greenemeir of Bordentown; her grandchildren, George Taylor, Jr. of Wrightstown, Helen Margaret Taylor of Allentown, Cindy and Ted Van Pelt of Allentown, CWO3 Steven and Sharon Dancer of Beauford, SC, Rebecca and Rick Mitchell of Cream Ridge, Frederick and Holly Taylor of Mercerville and Delmar Fenton of Allentown; her great grandchildren, Jeffrey Fenton, Chelsea and Morgan Mitchell, Ryan Dancer, Tara and Roxanne Van Pelt; former son-in-law, James Dancer of Sunset Beach, NC; she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday 11am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Merton Steelman will officiate. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Allentown. Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm and again Friday 10-11am at the funeral home.
