Helen H. Erbe, 97, formerly of Yardville, passed away on January 2, 2024 at Spring Mill Senior Living in Phoenixville, PA.  Born in Trenton, she was a long-time resident of Hopewell and Robbinsville before moving to Yardville in 1995.  She worked for the Washington Township Board of Education, retiring after 25 years of employment and was a member of the Trenton Church of Nazarene since her childhood. Helen enjoyed the outdoors, spending time in her garden planting flowers and liked reading and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.  But above all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

Daughter of the late Issac Bernard and Lillian Hawks, Helen was predeceased by her husband, John K. Erbe; her son Mark Erbe and her siblings, Rena Sortor, Betty Hawks, Louise Hillery, and Bernard "Bud" Hawks.  Helen is survived by her children, David Erbe and his wife, Barbara, Deborah Dunphey, John W. Erbe and his wife, Connie, Rebecca Shropshire and her husband, Scott, and Rachel Ely; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
