Helen Pearl Carter, 84, of Cream Ridge passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at RWJ Hospital in Hamilton. The daughter of the late Earnest and Margaret Briggs, Helen lived the past 33 years in Cream Ridge. She loved her work on the US Space Program's moon exploration and landing programs at RCA Astro in East Windsor, from which she retired in 1988. Helen also loved caring for her home, gardening, bird watching and trips to Atlantic City with friends and family.
Helen was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, George, and her four brothers, Stanley, Earl, Charles and Frank. She is survived by her son Dennis of Cream Ridge; a brother, Harry and his wife Lillian of Whiting; two sisters, Doris and her husband Bert of Freehold and Marion of Whiting as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held 4pm, Monday, October 11th, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will be held 10:30am, Tuesday, October 12th at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd. Wrightstown, NJ. Friends may call, Monday from 2pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made a charity of the donor's choice.
