Helen Macuga Dilts Arndt, 89, of Allentown, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at her home. Born in Trenton, she was a long time Robbinsville area resident. Helen's family was very important to her and caring for them was her most important job. She felt blessed to have two wonderful husbands in her life and her grandchildren brought her much joy. Helen was happiest being with her family at the shore and playing cards. She loved to entertain and cook for family gatherings. She enjoyed going on vacation with her husband Bill and working side by side with him in the greenhouses. She also enjoyed trips to the casinos with her son Gil and bowling in her league. Helen will always be remembered as a kind, generous, loving and forgiving woman.
Daughter of the late Peter and Anna Macuga, she was predeceased by her husbands, Gabe Dilts and Bill Arndt and her siblings, Victoria Harper, Josephine Kaczanowski and Fred Macuga. Helen is survived by her children and their spouses, Gilbert and Karen Dilts of Cream Ridge, Kenneth and Mary Dilts of Robbinsville and Bonnie and Pat Gagnon of Allentown; her grandchildren, Gilbert Dilts III and his fiancée, Lisa Dinger, Dylan Gagnon and his fiancée, Christine Silvestrov, Bradley Gagnon and his wife, Jen, Kenneth Dilts Jr., Travis Gagnon and his fiancée, Alyssa Fechner, Marissa Dilts, Brianna Gagnon, Jason Dilts and Jaclyn Dilts as well as many nieces and nephews, including Debbie Kaczanowski and Wendy Culver.
A Memorial Service will be held 2pm on Sunday, March 30 th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate. Friends may call Sunday from 1pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Princeton Hospice @ Princeton HealthCare System Foundation, 3626 U.S. Route 1, Princeton, NJ 08540.
