Obituary

Hayden C. Baumgartner, 60, of Cream Ridge, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Capital Health System, Trenton.  Born in New Brunswick, Hayden was a 1969 graduate of Jamesburg High School.  At age 20 he enlisted in the Army where he served in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star with a V device and the Purple Heart.   Hayden retired from BASF where he worked for 30 years and more recently was employed with the Logistics Company at Fort Dix.  He was also an avid gun and knife collector.

Son of the late Frank and Louie Baumgartner, Hayden is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen Baumgartner; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kimberly and Matthew Davidson, Samantha Baumgartner, Holly Baumgartner and Megan and Alfred Brenner and a special cousin, Stephen and Lois Tonnison.

Funeral service will be held 11 am on Tuesday, September 13 th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Visitation will be held, Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans PO Box 14301Cincinnati, OH 45250 or to the Wounded Warriors PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
